[To Infinity and Beyond]
Dont you just hate things you cant explain? I mean, I was once in a maths class with 1 of my great teachers (lol). She was explaining why one of the graphs we had to draw went off the top of the paper and came on the bottom. I was really annoyed by the explanation because she said that the reason why it comes onto the bottom is, If you had a piece of paper that went all the way round the world when you drew the graph it would get to the other side of the world and then go into the minus'. Yes, you are puzzled im sure, but another thing bugged me. If it swapped to minus' at the other side of the world that would mean that Infinity was on the other side of the world to me. Being in England I thought where the other side of the world was... AUSTRALIA... Of course where else would such an unexplainable thing be... But if i tried to visit infinity it would move... TO ENGLAND ... because that would be the other side of the world to where i currently was. My maths teacher said that this rule only applies for earth. So if i had a peice of paper that was infinatly long (GOD I HATE INFINITY) and attatched it to a rocket and sent it into space, when would it go into the minus'? What would happen when the rocket reached the edge of the universe?.. What would happen if the rocket went off the edge of the universe?.. Where would it be then?.. I thought a Universe was where everything was... So if it left the universe would it be inside another universe?.. What if it went out of that universe too?.. Would there have to be an infinate number of universes' (Theres that word again). And so concludes one of my many puzzling puzzles.[The Universe Explained]
There is one religion that claims that everything that exists is carried inside a sack by a man. But if this is true then the sack must also contain the man and the sack, this means that as the man and the sack are carrying the man and the sack then they must be non existant which rules out the entire possiblity.[Annoying Maths Problem]
A pencil box measures 5cm x 13cm x 2cm what is the longest pencil that this box can hold?[What our ancestors would be thinking]
People have often speculated what our ancestors would be thinking if they were alive today, would they aprove of modern society they ask. Would they marvel at present-day acheivements? and of course this misses a fundamental point, what our ancestors would really be thinking, if they were alive today, is "Why is it so dark in here?"[Tree Falling]
If a tree falls in the woods and theres nobody there to hear it, does it make a sound?
